It was a really hot and beautiful day in Taufkirchen (near Munich). Eight teams from Upper Bavaria played within the district finals against each ohter. Two teams from Taufkirchen, one from Mühldorf, Eichstätt, Unterpfaffenhofen, Bad Reichenhall, Markt Schwaben and Geretsried wanted to figure out, who was the best of them. The match started at half past ten in the morning and the brave teams fought about four hours - although they were roasting in the sun - until the winner was found: The
Hauptschule from Taufkirchen! Congratulations!! As second finished the Walter -Klingenbeck- Realschule Taufkirchen and as third the Ruperti Gymnasium Mühldorf.
We are really happy that we also could welcome
Tselane Mokuena, Consul General of South Africa, Andreas Ottl, football player of Bayern München and patron of the Club of good hope, state secretary Marcel Huber, district president Christoph Hillenbrand and the President of missio, Father Eric Englert OSA.

The medals were handed over by Consul General Mokuena, Father Eric Englert and state secretary Huber.

Though Andreas Ottl was very in demand, he spent some time signing autographs for the pupils (on handys, shoes, arms...) and so made many of them really happy!
Altogether: It was a really great day in Taufkirchen and we hope for more district finals like this!
