Bertholt-Brecht-Schule gewinnt das Finalspiel des Bafana Cup-Turniers gegen das Franken-Landschulheim Gaibach.
Das Team aus Mittelfranken besiegte die Unterfranken mit 7:1. Der Schlüssel zum Sieg waren die Tore der Mädchen, die bei diesem Turnier doppelt zählten.

Finally the Bafana Cup in Munich has started. After month of training and preparation the four best teams of South Africa and the eight best Bavarian teams have met for the BAFANA Cup tournament in the "Zentrale Hochschulsportanlage" in Munich.

Today, after a long time of expectation, 40 kids from South Africa finally arrived at the airport Munich and were welcomed by the team of the Club of good hope and friends from Sr. Ellen from Mallersdorf.
The four teams (Nkandla, Injongo, Youth Unlimited and German School Kapstadt) will stay until the 13th of July and get to know Bavaria - country and people.

There was only one place left: On Friday, 26th, four Swabian teams played for the qualification for the Bafana Cup: The Staatliche Realschule an der Salzstraße from Kempten, the Wittelsbacher Realschule Aichach, the Maristenkolleg Mindelheim and the Simpert-Kraemer-Gymnasium Kulmbach.
The last Bavarian district final had been deferred from Wednesday to Friday, because the playing field had been too wet.

Today the last Bavarian district final should have taken place: In Kempten / Swabia. But looking at the weather during the last days and weeks, it's no surprise that the matches were canceled: The playing field is too wet!

On June, 17th football teams from the Realschule Arnstorf, the Realschule Landshut, the Gymnasium Landau and the Realschule Regen met in Landshut-Auloh. But it was not an every-day-tournament: These teams are the 4 best of Lower Bavaria and the winner of the district finals would participate in the Bafana-Cup in July in Munich.

The best four teams of the Oberpfalz participated in the distirct finals on June 16th in Regensburg: The Albert Schweitzer Realschule Regensburg, the Franz-Xaver-von-Schönwerth-Realschule Amberg, the Staatliche Realschule Furth im Wald, and the Keppler Gymnasium Weiden.

It was a really hot and beautiful day in Taufkirchen (near Munich). Eight teams from Upper Bavaria played within the district finals against each ohter.
